Almost 70% of the clothes are made of plastic. Due to the poor quality of the fabrics, plastic microfibres become detached from the clothing during production, washing and wearing. In addition, clothing is often thrown away after only 7 times of wearing. This makes the clothing industry the largest microplastic polluter (35%) of the ocean.
To prevent fiber loss from clothing, major steps must be taken by the clothing industry and legislation. With your support, we address the clothing industry and the government to take their responsibility, show the effect of plastic on our health and tackle plastic pollution at the source.
