Every day, 23 billion nurdles — tiny plastic pellets — leak into the environment in the EU alone. They’re small, but the impact is huge. Plastic Soup Foundation has been fighting this form of pollution for years. In 2022, a whistleblower exposed severe nurdle pollution in the Western Scheldt, leading to parliamentary questions and adopted motions.
