HEROES IN THE BATTLE AGAINST THE PLASTIC SOUP!

Political Plume

Since 2016, the Plastic Soup Foundation is handing out the Political Plume Award. This prize goes to a politician that has contributed to the fight against the plastic soup problem. Each year, we nominate a number of politicians and the public gets to decide who becomes the winner. Keep an eye on our website and social media channels to see when you can vote again. The winners so far:

Plastic Blooper Award

On 1 December 2019, we launched a new award through our social media: the Plastic Blooper Award. The Plastic Blooper Award is an annual contest for the most unreasonable plastic product on store shelves. It is a real public poll in which we ask our followers to vote for their ‘favourite’ plastic blooper by liking and sharing the post.

AND THE WINNER OF 2019 IS…

The plastic fake snow! The post with the fake snow received the most reactions from our followers and has therefore been declared the most absurd and unnecessary plastic product of 2019. Second place goes to plastic confetti and third place is to plastic party strings. Hopefully this plastic garbage will no longer be in the shops in 2020!
