In 2019 we developed extensive new educational material about plastic soup for middle schools (age 12-15 years) in the Netherlands, together with GLOBE Netherlands. This educational material was made possible with the financial support from the C&A Foundation and donations from Dutch high schools. The digital lessons meet learning objectives as specified by the Dutch Ministry of Education.
The Introduction lesson about the sources, consequences of and possible solutions for the plastic soup is an online interactive lesson with films and quiz questions. The plastic soup lesson is available on a digital platform!
The educational material is receiving extensive positive feedback and we have plans to translate and adapt these initiatives to other countries once the funds become available.
For middle school children (age 12 -15 years) we offer guest lessons about the sources and consequences of plastic soup and possible solutions to reduce plastic use. The lessons are currently offered in the Netherlands only.
